Inspired by trading concepts, every innovative detail in the Securities Investors Hub is meticulously designed to deliver a customer-friendly experience amidst a tech-enhanced environment.
A myriad of innovative elements defines the sophisticated interior of the Securities Investors Hub, ingeniously put together by MGroup to reflect the company’s line of business. Located amid Singapore’s busy financial district, the hub’s full-glass frontage along the perimeter of its premises provides clear visibility of the interior from the exterior. Inside, the hub incorporates a dynamic concept that blends technology and pragmatic details, offering customers a seamless and user-friendly environment to engage in various trading services.
Upon arrival, the entrance foyer presents customers with a self-service kiosk and reception counter, which simplify the reception process and minimise waiting time. The counter is a prominent feature with its oval form and a red ring around a large pillar housing an information screen. Next to the counter is a waiting area featuring cosy seats and a media wall with timber trellis. An adjacent casual discussion space is also included to provide additional space for customer support services.
The general understanding about trading is that investments come with upturns and downturns. MGroup translated this trading concept into the ceiling design via two approaches. First, the ceiling height was raised from 3 metres to 4.5 metres to evoke a higher value of space. Next, the design team optimised the extended ceiling space using irregular triangles with protruding axis points set in varying heights to portray upward and downward investment trends. A selection of triangles is merged with the brightly lit Barrisol ceiling, resulting in a modern lighting effect to bring out the hub’s contemporary aesthetic.
To further enhance the contemporary theme, MGroup designed a series of circular semi-open cubicles constructed from curved double-layer glass with built-in LED lighting. On the sleek surface of the cubicles, the frosted finishing displays the trading market platforms of different countries.
The hub also provides individual meeting rooms for private discussions. Each room employs the use of smart electronic film, which turns the glass panels into full frosted glass when complete privacy is needed.
From the meeting zone, the space leads to the demo area comprising the mobile trading demo display space and a self-service trading area equipped with standing PC platforms for customer use. The demo area overlooks the hub’s live trading space through a large glass window, giving customers a peek into what goes on behind the trading scene. The demo area is also connected to a training room designed with operable walls that can be opened up and combined with the demo space to form a larger town hall space for public events.
